Judo Masters
Anastasios Georgiadis is one of the leading teachers of judo in Greece and one of the best athletes of all time. He started judo at age 6 in the Czech Republic in 1973 and continued his education and his racing career in the West Germany. Currently holds 6th Dan is a certified trainer of Hellenic Secretariat Sport and holds a degree in coaching from the German Judo Federation.
He is the first Greek Mediterranean winner, won the bronze medal in the 95k. In 1983 where it was the criterion to qualify for the 1984 Olympics. Also won 3 times the bronze medal at the Balkan Games and has won 18 times the gold medal in the National championships and Greek associations championships.
From 1978 - 1981 he was the coach of the first national German (BUDESLIGA). National coach of Greece 3 times and coach at the Paralympic Games in Athens.
Sofia Georgiadou started Judo at the age of 4. Today she is in her 2nd Dan (Black Belt). She has won 9 Pan-Hellenic Championships and the 3rd place at the 2008 Acropolis International Tournament. She has participated in dozens of Greek association championships, Balkan and Pan-European championships, where she has won dozens of medals and distinctions. She used to be an athlete at ANOG of Glyfada, as well as a National Greek athlete for many years. In 2015 she graduated from the Judo Coaching School and she is a recognized coach from the General Secretariat of Sports. Today she is an instructor of Judo class at our children's department.
